What is it actually like to have a course of Exomind? Tatyana, one of our Clinic Coordinators at Dr Preema London Clinic in Mayfair shares her personal experience of six Exomind sessions in London, including what she noticed during treatment, what happened afterwards and why she sees Exomind as one part of a broader approach to her wellbeing.

Why I Decided to Try Exomind

I have lived with severe anxiety for as long as I can remember. It affects many aspects of my daily life. My anxiety can cause insomnia, for which I have medication, although I only take it when my symptoms become overwhelming. Poor sleep then leads to exhaustion, which affects my mood, behaviour and productivity.

Over the years, I have learned different ways of managing my anxiety when it becomes particularly difficult. Regular exercise, avoiding alcohol, reducing caffeine and eating a healthy diet all helped for a while. Eventually, however, those strategies were no longer enough.

In 2024, I was diagnosed with clinical depression. That was when I sought professional help. I was prescribed a strong antihistamine for insomnia and completed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but I didn’t feel that either addressed the root cause of my anxiety.

To me, it felt like putting a plaster on a broken leg, a broken leg with multiple fractures.

I knew there wasn’t going to be one simple answer. That was the context in which I approached Exomind. I wasn’t expecting it to solve everything, but I was interested to find out whether it could make a meaningful difference to how I felt.

What Were My Exomind Sessions Like?

I genuinely enjoyed my weekly Exomind sessions at Dr Preema London Clinic.

They gave me an opportunity to lie down, switch off during a busy day and relax. During the treatment itself, I felt great.

I completed my course on 3 June 2026, following approximately six weeks of weekly treatments.

For me, one of the most noticeable changes during the course was my sleep quality. It improved significantly.

I also noticed that my food and snack cravings reduced and I had much more energy.
Importantly, I wasn’t consciously doing anything else differently at the time, which made these changes particularly noticeable to me.

What Did I Notice After My Exomind Course?

Exomind made a significant difference to how I felt while I was receiving my course of treatment.

However, my experience wasn’t a straight line from treatment to permanent improvement.

In July 2026, I experienced another severe flare-up of my symptoms. I therefore returned to Dr Preema London Clinic for an Exomind maintenance session on 28 July.

My experience following that session was particularly noticeable.

My headache disappeared, I slept normally again and my energy and productivity returned.

However, I think it’s equally important to be honest about what happened next.

For me, those benefits lasted for around 48 hours before my symptoms returned.

One thing I’ve thought more about since completing my Exomind course is the initial questionnaire I filled in before starting treatment. It captured how I was feeling at that particular moment, but I wasn’t experiencing active anxiety that day.

Looking back, I don’t think my answers fully reflected the challenges I can experience in everyday life, or necessarily provided a complete picture of how I was feeling before treatment.

Did Exomind Cure My Anxiety?

No, and I don’t see Exomind as a complete solution on its own.

From my personal experience, I see Exomind as a valuable tool, particularly when considered alongside other appropriate forms of support.

For some people, that broader approach may involve medication. For others, it may involve psychological therapy, lifestyle changes or a combination of different

approaches, under the guidance of appropriate healthcare professionals.
For me, long-term improvement also means continuing to identify and address the underlying triggers that contribute to my anxiety.

That can be incredibly difficult because triggers aren’t always things you can simply remove from your life. They can involve family relationships, particular places or everyday situations.

Living and working in Central London makes avoiding many of those triggers unrealistic.

I have been working on reducing their impact for the past two years. Although I have made progress, I still feel that I have a considerable way to go.

Would I Have Exomind Again?

Yes.

Overall, Exomind has been a valuable part of my recovery.

It hasn’t been a complete solution on its own, and I wouldn’t describe my experience in that way. What it has given me are meaningful periods of improvement in my sleep, energy and general wellbeing.

My maintenance experience also showed me that I could notice a difference relatively quickly, even though, on that occasion, the benefits I experienced were temporary.

For me, Exomind makes the most sense as part of a broader approach to looking after my mental wellbeing rather than something I expect to resolve everything by itself.

That is my personal experience, and other people’s experiences may, of course, be very different.
